Meet Our Team

Our physicians are both Board Certified and Fellows through the American College of Surgeons. Both Physicians have lived in the Lockport area for approximately 20 years. They are very civic minded and are deeply involved with several organizations in the community including DeSales Catholic School and Lockport Locks Heritage District Corporation. We are committed to serving the Lockport area – now and in the future.

Jeffrey Schratz, MD

A native of Amherst, Dr. Schratz attended Canisius High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Williams College in Massachusetts, and went on to work at an Immunology Lab at Harvard Medical School before attending the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for his medical degree. He completed his internship and residency at the University at Buffalo.

Dr. Schratz specializes in general and vascular surgery, and he has been on staff at Eastern Niagara Hospital (formerly Lockport Memorial and Inter-Community Memorial) since 1991. He is also affiliated with Kenmore Mercy Hospital.

He is also a former vice president of the Catholic Education Council at DeSales Catholic School and is an active member of the Lockport Locks Heritage District Corporation.

Robert Hodge, MD

Dr. Hodge received his medical degree at the University of Louisville and completed his surgical residency at the University at Buffalo. His specialty is general and vascular surgery. In addition, Dr. Hodge is certified in robotic surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Hodge has been on staff at Eastern Niagara Hospital (formerly Lockport Memorial and Inter-Community Memorial) since 1993. He is also affiliated with Kenmore Mercy Hospital.

Dr. Hodge enjoys local theater and occasionally ventures onto the stage himself. When he’s not working, his favorite pastime is whatever his wife and six children have in mind.
